How Outsourcing Works
The Sourcing process is completed in many stages. At every stage, progress is reported to the UK client to ensure that they are kept well informed.
First of all, the product that the client requires is identified along with the specific features and functions. A report of the product details is then sent to our office in China. Our professionals in China are experienced and also have an expanse of local knowledge; once the details are received, representatives of our Guangzhou office will begin to contact local factories. We will gather information on the prices of different suppliers, and will test samples of the products. Once this information is gathered and processed, a report will be sent to our Scotland office, giving information on the prices, quality standards, reliability and suitability of proposed suppliers.
At this stage, the UK client will choose a manufacturer and will place their first order. Upon the first order being made, the client will make a 35% deposit of the total balance. The order will be put into production, and before it leaves the factory depot will be checked by one of our professional staff in China to ensure that the products are up to the standards set by the client. The container(s) will be transported to Hong Kong harbour, where the order will then be shipped en-route to the United Kingdom.
After the order has left Hong Kong harbour, the shipping company will organise for the shipping documents to be sent to us; this will take approximately 2 weeks for the documents to arrive. Upon receipt of the shipping documents, the client will then pay the remaining balance. The goods will take approximately 3 weeks to arrive in the United Kingdom after they have left China
